The Controversies: Man, Life and Society - 4

The tempting aroma of a nice Pani Poori masala was passing by my nostrils; the fresh smell of rain from the land complimented it... Everyone here knows that feeling right??
I couldn’t resist... I went for it.
As I was snacking, the del-ici-ouss snack slowly it began to drizzle... It was a nice evening. The rain, the music… A nice feeling!

I took all my time to enjoy and finish it but by the time it started to rain heavy…
Everyone was running to homes, to find some shelter...
Rain was really beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed it. As I walked I know that there is my house I’ll go and dry myself...
Only then I noticed something..,
The rain stopped! But the people who dwell in the roadsides and pathways have nowhere to go…
All their little property, the place where they used to sleep, cook, and clothes all wet... They are going to have a very tough night!  Whom to blame??
Every time I see, hear the apartment, property developers’ attractive offers and advertisements I used to think of people without even a permanent roofed house even unable to rent one.
Many of us can’t do anything about it now but think, may be you’ll get an opp to do something for this, someday!!!!
From platform to Double luxury bedroom apartments….Controversies continues!!!

The Controversies: Man, Life and Society - 3

We always like to cherish certain times of our lives… The times when you were lost in a place unknowing where to go, which way to take, yet completely impressed by a stranger who passes by may it be a boy/ girl, or at times when surprisingly you get fully drown in an early morning rain.. Be it anything but those will be framed in our hearts forever. . .

Such is the case for me, when I happened to take an unknown route in Karaikal and ended up in a street where I saw little children, all with baskets of plastic bottles on their heads. I walked through them looking.., actually staring at them.  They all looked extremely dirty, uncombed, torn old clothes and dirty fingers without slippers. When I was about to cross a child, a bottle from the basket fell down to the ground.

She took the bottle from my hand, smiled and told “Thank you” (in English) without giving up her self-respect. I was quite surprised at the way she carried her and her politeness.

In India, we talk about Malnourishment, Child labor and Compulsory education. There are children who even go starving to get that Princess dress and Videogames... But where do these children go??

Try, Give it a thought... The next time you see a child like this, think maybe they too got dreams of performing a role of I.A.S officer or a scientist who explore stars which they see every night when they lie down in their tent. Do all that you can...?

Controversies will continue!!!

The Controversies: Man, Life and Society - 2

I am not sure how many of you remember this series... It’s time again for another one.

I was walking out there on a busy road the other day… It was almost dusk; I was tuning the FM stations from my phone. The melody played paired with the mild breeze and gave a pleasant feeling. I was thinking on the very pleasant things until I noticed a very old woman in her 80’s sitting on a chair outside the house all by herself with a depressed face. I know what you are thinking here, I got it wait, you’d say “it is a very common sight and our eyes are used to it but what you want us to go talk, help her with something”???

I wouldn't disagree it my dearest friends but this is not all of it. In fact I dint do anything I just walked off.

I too felt that oh poor granny she is all alone and so depressed L but shame on me I walked off.

This life is very controversial. At one side, people are very busy, no time to do what you exactly wants to do, mind occupied with so so many things at the same time, there is a silent world out there…

In there you could hear the heavy breaths of an old man, whispers of prayers from handicapped women, sound of tears rolling down from an old age couple left abandoned, loud cries of an abandoned children left in streets and much more.

I’m not telling you to go be with them, help them, support them.., nothing. But, just explore this silence and feel it.

Am sure after this you wouldn't think all these as charity/ social work cos, you, the society and society is you.

Kindly don’t ignore it, mental pains are worse than physical pains!!! DO ALL THAT YOU CAN.?

See you all next week with different controversies of life…. Let’s talk peace, let’s talk cure!!!

The Controversies: Man, Life and Society - 1

Recently, I was all into international culture, foods, arts and much more. Finally, the whole world looks to me as a egg shell where each and every one is just so striving hard to come up, shape their own lives. Everyone in one way or other thinks or talks about their “Space”. Who wouldn’t want their own space? For this we go on and on, working every day, giving their best. When I say space here, I refer to all those aims and wants that keep us moving. But at a point, it just doesn’t end here well, in many cases mostly. So what are up to??? This question is keeping me wondering always and I hope it does the same to you too.
The point is men have so much to talk, think, do and go on. But don’t we think at times that we deserve a break?? Some breaks are more awaited but some are unexpected. Whatever it may be, trust me, it’s really good to have a break. So what are we all really up to?? For what do people cry their lives out?? What really happens when the needs are met? I always fondly remember the pyramid theory of needs.  All these hustle and bustle of life ends when the soul meets peace and Joy.  For some, its reputation, while for others its fame, popularity but whatever it may be, you end at peace when you are satisfied. So, is it wrong to have desires? I would say, Not at all.  Life is not simple and it as the poet says, it’s not an empty dream. Does the whole thing seem complicated? Welcome to reality! All I would say is, Keep it simple!!  We’ve been talking about problems a lot, over and over again. But we have got enough of it, so, let’s talk about peace, let’s talk cure!!
Look for every week, this place an interesting story on social cures for issues… It’s all going to be the matter of Heart cos , I believe, society is you and  you the society.
