Indian Rupee (INR)(₹)
INR is the currency of India. As on date, Rupee is used as a currency in Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives, Mauritius and Seychelles. Few other countries also used Rupee as their currency name but does not use it anymore.

1957
Decimalisation of currency in India happened in 1957, after which we started using 1 Rupees with a division of 100 (Naya) paise [New Paise]. Now, then how was a Rupee defined before 1957.
1 Rupee = 8 Annas
1 Anna = 4 Pices [old form of Paise]
1 Pices = 3 Pies
